EMAT is a modified version of the Mid-Term Analysis of Teaching ©1991 developed by the Teaching Effectiveness Program at the University of Oregon. You create a survey online by selecting from a menu of more than 100 teaching behaviors in the following areas:
- Course Organization and Management
- Communication and Interaction with Students
- Presentation of Material in Class
- Questions
- Discussions
- Outside Assignments
- Exams and Evaluation
- Instructional Materials
- Educational Technology
- Labs and Sections
Your students respond to your selected list of teaching behaviors by rating them on the following scale:
A. Strongly Agree
B. Agree
C. Satisfactory/Neutral
D. Disagree
E. Strongly Disagree
